Q: What period and group are your elements?
A: The peroid our element is in, is period 4. The group is metals and non metals.
Q: List the elements are in your group?
A: Our group consists of Boron, Silicon, Germanium, Arsenic, Antimony, tellurium, and polonium.
Q: Is your group a solid, liquid, gas
A: Our group is a solid at room temperature.
Q: What are three physical properties of your group?
A: The three physical properties of metals are Luster, Good conducters of heat and electricty, high dencity, high melting point, and our group is ductile.
For the non metals are No Luster poor coducters of heat and electisity, Brittle, and non ductile. In general the physical propeties of metalloids are solids, can be shiny or dull, ductile, malleable, conducts heat better than non metals but not as well as metals.
Q: What are three chemical properties of your group?
A:Three chemical properties for our group are metals easily lose electrons and it corrodes easily and the chemical properties for non metals are that they tend to gain electrons.
Q: What are three interesting facts about your group?
A: Metalloids can be metals or non metals, metalloids are semiconductors meaning they conduct electricity easily, and metalloids can be used in software.
Q: What are two common uses for your group?
A: Metalloids are commonly used in calculators and computers because they carry an electrical charge perfect for powering the hardware in the computer of calculator.
